Description

A tasty vegan burger with black beans and a hint of chilli

Ingredients
  • 2 cans black beans, drained
  • 1 teaspoon salt, optional
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 3 olive oil
  • 1 lime zest
  • 1 lime juice
  • 16 grams coriander leaves
  • 2 ground flax seeds
  • 4 water
Instructions
  1. Put the flax seeds into a bowl and mix with the water. Set aside for 10 minutes until jellified

  2. Put the drained black beans into a medium-sized bowl, add salt (optional), lime juice, lime zest, the spices, and 2 tbs of olive oil. Using a fork, combine the ingredients

  3. Add the flax mixture and coriander leaves and combine, Leave to stand for 10 minutes

  4. Shape the mixture into four patties.

  5. Put the remaining oil into a frying pan over a medium heat. When the oil is hot add the patties and cook for 5/7 minutes each side until golden briown

  6. Serve immediately with a burger bun and salad
